I have been here in Goondiwindi a while –Some History

·        Entered community in the old hospital 1949

·        Train trip departure from ‘North West Mail’ in Moree

·        Bogged in the black soil, back of ‘Bogga’

·        Grazed the woollies on the ’Whalan’

·        Marooned in the waters of the ‘Macintyre’

·        Boated and fished in ‘Boobora’

·        Lined up at the grain silo at the ‘Star’

·        Youth drank like a Codfish in ‘Yetman’

SOME THINGS ON THE MENU:

LIBRARY: Multiple services with a smile.

CINEMA: Who else still boasts regular usage.

BUTCHER: Quality meat - Quality individual service.

SHOW: The committee turn up, year after year

CEMENTERY: World class condition and maintenance.

MEDICAL SERVICES: Second to none, regional medical access.
