SITTING QUIETLY OUT-OF-SIGHT, IN STERILE LITTLE ROOMS:
Found myself with sleeve rolled up for a simple blood test that we all do.
Room is functionally stark and sqeaky clean, until the ray of human light
A welcome, while just doing their medical job for people like you and me.

Meet Deb who works behind the scenes from early morn.
Dispensing medical assistance to patients tired and worn.
Revealing a warmth in her voice that Deb shares for free.
For all, a welcome face in a boring space, this time for me.

Doing rounds of medical testing rooms, can be no fun.
Criteria or status, no protection from being a chosen one.
In the sterile zone of a hospital room.
From her dial a shining light of zoom.
The space is filled with brilliant sheen.
A happy voice, you know what I mean.
There are two prongs when they train.
One for the body, the other for the brain.
With an extra dimension of patient care.
A mix of reality with human light to share.
Life’s natural medicine of care filled with hope.
Antidote, when morale is down, an urge to mope.
A welcome diversion to focus on the brighter side.
The Deb's of this world do their bit to retain pride.
ONYA TO DEB AND THE MANY OTHERS, DOING JUST THE SAME:
