Meet some of the Eight Mile [tree] family
They are individuals all and part of a multipurpose family.
Old and strong serving a need in the cycle of sustainable life.
ONE: The "Coolibah" whose job is to shade and protect 'Dogville'
TWO & THREE: The "Box" that came back from a death attempt to provide shelter and shade.
This tree survived a ring barking, probably 1920's
FOUR: Correct, this is not a tree, but a spot just below where Sammy found an old rams head.
FIVE & SIX: A "Coolibah", an old one cut off three feet above the ground until its multiple young grew to become adult.
SEVEN: Multiple watercourse rotted suckers, leaning like young drunks, falling over themselves leaving the pub.
EIGHT: A surviving patriarch "Coolibah" overlooking the family.
NINE: Some juveniles establishing a wildlife corridor to the watercourse that is the 'Morella Waterway'
